About Me.

Hello all, and welcome to my blog! I’m Michelle, I’m 27, and I started this blog as a way to document my weight-loss journey. In the process of starting up this endeavor, I decided it might be fun to also document my educational journey as well, and maybe even toss a bit of my adventures in there. I’m hella nerdy, a lover of craft beer, a bit of a foodie, a budding make-up artist, and a newly turned fit chick. If you’ve made it this far, feel free to follow along with my near daily updates!

Along with me on this ride called life, I have a wonderful support system in the form of my boyfriend, Andrew, and our dog, Nymeria. Andrew and I have been together for nearly two and a half years now, and we’re currently in the process of building our first home. It’s exciting, and I’ll probably document a bit about that on here as well! He’s my biggest supporter, and constantly builds me up when I’m feeling down. He’s been my absolute rock, and it’s a great feeling to know I have someone in my corner who believes in me, especially when I don’t believe in myself.

Along with Andrew, our dog Nymeria is my other biggest supporter, even if she doesn’t know it! She’s my hiking buddy on my weight-loss journey, and she melts my frustrations with school with her ridiculously cute face and shenanigans. I’ve always been a lover of animals, dogs in particular, and coming to home to her brightens my darkest days!

As I previously mentioned, I’m an avid hiker, but I also dabble in a lot of other things. I’ve recently delved back into the world of reading, and was so happy to get a Kindle for this last Christmas that has made reading a lot easier than on the broken tablet I had. I’m into virtually anything educational, and I’m constantly watching courses on The Great Courses Plus, or on Curiosity Stream as well as taking courses on edX. I’ve been attempting to get back into speaking French, and becoming fluent compared to the broken French I can currently speak and understand, so I’ve taken up some courses on The Rosetta Stone. Occasionally I get into some artsy things, and I’ve been known to draw and take photos for fun, which I’ve also tried getting back in to. I’m a whirlwind of interests, and this is one of my outlets, so strap in!
